Playwrighting Workshop with Called 'dangerously hilarious' by the Star Ledger, Bekah Brunstetter’s new play You May Go Now revels in a fast-paced, sharp, contemporary style of social satire which is the hallmark of many emerging voices in the down-town, urban theatre scene today. Her striking work is now on display in the Centenary Stage Company’s (CSC) production her new, funny and provocative play. She is the two-time winner of the Innovative Theatre award in New York, and has been called "a playwright to watch" and "one of 12 people you should envy" by a downtown NY magazine. As part of her residency at the Centenary Stage Company during the production of her play, Brunstetter will lead a playwrighting workshop for the public on Saturday, March 7 from 2 – 5:30 PM on the campus of Centenary College. The workshop is open to all, but space is limited and reservations are required to participate. The fee for the workshop will be $25, which can be deducted from the price of a ticket for any performance of Brunstetter’s play (which runs through March 8th). In addition, interested participants who have already seen the play may apply the price of their ticket-stub to the fee for the writing workshop. The afternoon workshop will spearhead a longer 8-week playwrighting workshop, which will be offered by CSC throughout the spring. For more information, and to register for the March 7th workshop, contact Catherine Rust at 908-979-0900 x5. Return to You May Go Now event page.
