The Centenary Performing Arts Guild located on the campus of Centenary
College will host the New Jersey Ballet for two performances Sat.
Oct 28th at 8pm and Sunday Oct 29th at 5pm. For over 43 years the
New Jersey Ballet has been an integral part of the artistic and
cultural landscape of New Jersey, bringing dancers of international
stature from the United States, Russia, Japan, Bulgaria, South
America, and Mongolia to stages across the state. With its reputation
in artistic excellence, the NJ Ballet has attracted a considerable
number of major dance works which have been premiered in New Jersey.
The company performs works ranging from classical
to contemporary, with a repertory that includes works choreographed
by some of the greatest names in the world of dance- such as Balanchine,
DeMille, Tudor, Nebrada, North, and Renvall. The New Jersey Ballet
will perform favorites from the repertory at the Spring Concerts.
