So much Joy... so close to home.
New Jersey Ballet Company celebrates its 42nd year
October 2000 - May 2001. New Jersey Ballet Company's extensive
performance
schedule is made possible by support from the New Jersey State
Council on the Arts/Department of State, a Partner Agency of the
National Endowment for the Arts and by generous corporate, foundation
and individual contributions.
An eagerly anticipated event, the premiere dance company
of the state, the New Jersey Ballet, will make it's annual return
to the Centenary Performing Arts Guild stage for two performances
only, on Saturday, Nov 11 at 8 PM and Sun, Nov. 12 at 7 PM. Tickets
are $15.
Drawing from a repertoire of over 60 works, highlights
of this exquisite company's November performances will include Vasili
Vainonen's The Flames of Paris Pas de Deux, a brilliant
work offering dancers a showcase for classical fireworks; the Pas
de Six from La Vivandiere, by Saint-Leon, a piece
of incredible spirit, precision and gaiety; the Raymonda
Pas de Deux, from the festival scene, by Marius Petipa; and the
Glinka Pas de Trois by Balanchine, a witty and charming
pas de trios that exemplifies the technically demanding style of
Ballanchine's allegro dancing.
Tickets for the performances can be purchased by calling
the Centenary Performing Arts Guild (CPAG) Box office at 908-979-0900,
or through the Arts Guild Website, at www.centenarystageco.org.
