“…makes listeners feel good with its range of offerings from slow, steamy blues and foot-stomping swing to more modern fare.”
                                            - The Star Ledger’s Zan Stewart

About recent album:
The Other Duke, a valentine to the music of Duke Pearson, has been hailed for being “big-hearted, good-time, feelin’-fine jazz played with serious proficiency.”

SwingadelicSwingadelic is the Metropolitan area’s greatest "little big band," delivering the traditional big band music of Ellington, Basie and Sinatra, mixed with the soulful sounds of Ray Charles, as well as sophisticated, classic standards a la George Gershwin and Cole Porter. A favorite at Lincoln Center’s Midsummer Nights Swing! This evening of swing and dancing will kick off the Centenary Stage Company’s hot Jammin’ in July Summer Concert Series on Saturday, July 7th at 8 PM when “Swingadelic” takes the Sitnik Stage at the David and Carol Lackland Center in Hackettstown.

The Dance Floor will be open for this event!

Swingadelic formed in 1998 as the neo-swing movement was just gaining momentum, enchanting its audiences with a “feel-good range of offerings, from slow, steamy blues and foot-stomping swing to more modern fare,” according to The Star Ledger’s Zan Stewart. The Band has played venues up and down the eastern seaboard, including Lincoln Center’s “Midsummer Night Swing. ” Their numerous albums include their newest release The Other Duke, a valentine to the music of Duke Pearson, hailed for being “big-hearted, good-time, feelin’-fine jazz played with serious proficiency.” A special Dance Floor area will be available for this performance for patrons who are motivated to get up and dance to the beat.
