Jammin' In July Summer Concert Series
Centenary Stage Company's Jammin' in July Summer Concert Series will keep Hackettstown buzzing with a diverse
lineup of fun-for-the-whole-family events kicking off Saturday, July 13th and wrapping up with a crowd pleaser
on Sunday, August 11th. Each weekend will feature a new and unique event at the Sitnik Theatre of the award-winning
David and Carol Lackland Center on the campus of Centenary College.
Award-winning actor/director/playwright Frank Ferrante brings back the classic laughs of the black and white
era, in his show An Evening with Groucho July 13th at 8 pm. Frank Ferrante recreates his PBS, New York and
London acclaimed portrayal of legendary comedian Groucho Marx in this fast paced 90 minute show full of hilarity.
The two-act comedy consists of the best Groucho one-liners, anecdotes and songs including "Hooray For
Captain Spalding," and "Lydia, The Tattooed Lady." A show perfect for all ages! (more...)

City of Detroit, MI, better known simply as Motown.

Centenary Stage By The Paragon Ragtime Orchestra
Venture back to the big easy with the musical group Paragon Ragtime Orchestra on the Centenary Stage July
27th at 8 pm. The Paragon Ragtime Orchestra is the world's only year-round, professional ensemble re-creating "America's
Original Music" - the syncopated sounds of early musical theater, silent cinema, and vintage dance.
1989 the Walt Disney Company has relied on the Orchestra's recordings for the outdoor theme music heard at
Main Street, U.S.A. at Disneyland, Disney World, and Disneyland Paris; the PRO strengthened its international
following during its extended engagement as a U.S. Ambassador of Goodwill at the 1992 World's Universal Exposition

It’s been called one of the best and most beloved musicals of all time, the award-winning West Side
Story now comes to the Centenary Stage. This timeless musical launched Stephen Sondheim’s Broadway
career and with help of other creative geniuses like Jerome Robbins and Leonard Bernstein, it has become
a classic in the American theatrical repertoire. The New Jersey Youth Theatre will be celebrating the 10th
Anniversary of their award-winning production by bringing a new group of talented young-adult actors that
Director Cynthia Meryl calls “the future of Broadway” to the Lackland Center to showcase the
phenomenal training that NJYT provides. Performances will take place August 2nd – 11th at the Sitnik
Theatre in the David and Carol Lackland Center at 715 Grand Avenue in Hackettstown. (more...)

Sitnik Theater of the David and Carol Lackland Performing Arts Center on the campus of Centenary College in Hackettstown, New
The Centenary Stage Company moved to the Carol and David Lackland Center (located at 715 Grand
Ave, Hackettstown) in August, 2010. With a 22,000-square-foot performance space, the facility is the most sophisticated
performing arts venues in northwest New Jersey. The center includes a new state-of-the-art 500-seat theatre (Sitnik Theater),
a black box theater (The Edith Bolte Kutz ’42 Theater), a dance studio, scene shop, a costume shop, green room and dressing
rooms. In addition to housing the theatre, the 68K square foot Lackland Center is home to a variety of cultural activity, and
including WNTI, the College's listener-supported public radio station, CCTV, Centenary's Comcast-licensed television studio,
and gallery space for visual artists.
Named in honor of Carol Burgess Lackland, A Centenary graduate (Class of 1954), and her husband, David A. Lackland, a Centenary
College Trustee, The David and Carol Lackland Center, has been designed to enrich student life and bring new cultural opportunities
