          Bucky Pizzarelli, John Bunch, Phil Flanigan, &
          12-year-old Jazz Violinist Jonathan Russell

Bucky Pizzarelli was considered the only guitarist next to George Van Eps, to play the seven-string electric guitar exclusively. John Bunch is a Legendary Piano player. Phil Flanigan-is highly respected both as a soloist and as an ensemble player. Also including Jonathan Russell, an engaging twelve-year-old jazz violinist.

          A 15 piece all Women’s Jazz Band
 
The Diva Jazz OrchestraDIVA is a Concert Jazz Orchestra steeped in the history of jazz but infused with the progressive harmonies of today. The band is based in New York City and plays contemporary, mainstream big band jazz composed and arranged by band members and renowned writers including Tommy Newsom, Ellen Rowe, Rich Shemaria, and Scott Whitfield.

The Joys of SaxJerry Weldon is a veteran hard bop tenor whose prolific career has included stints with Lionel Hampton and Harry Connick, extensive duties as sideman, and leader of his own ensembles. Andrew Neu brings you a fresh new sound with a blend of traditional jazz, R & B and Latin music. Andrew is equally comfortable performing with Peter Nero and The Philly Pops or at Philadelphia's premier jazz venue Zanzibar Blue. Dick Meldonian is a superb swing-based soloist whose impressive style, energy and creativity is universally respected by audiences and fellow musicians alike. “

The Centenary Performing Arts Guild will feature, “Jazz In January 2008”, a three concert series beginning Saturday, Jan. 12th at 8pm in the Dome in the main administrative building on the campus of Centenary College - 400 Jefferson Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840 (Directions).
