The 3rd annual Jazz in July Concert Series at the Centenary Stage Company and Performing Arts Guild will end with the wonderfully talented Jazz Singer Stephanie Nakasian accompanied by the supreme talent Hod O'Brien. Back by popular demand Stephanie is listed in the Biographical Encyclopedia of Jazz as on of the world's leading Jazz Singers. With her swinging rhythm and clean, clear, lovely tone, Stephanie has been compared to Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughn, June Christy and Rosemary Clooney. Stephanie sings a variety of music ranging from Cole Porter, Irving Berlin, Harold Arlen and George Gershwin.
Hod O'Brien is hailed by critics, revered by legendary peers, influential upon younger players and sought after by collectors and cognoscenti. Hod is a true jazz giant whose style and sound are unique, melodic and entertaining.
Jazz In July 2007
The Centenary Performing Arts Guild will feature, “Jazz in July”, a four concert series beginning Saturday, July 7th at 8pm in the air conditioned Centenary Theatre on the campus of Centenary College in Hackettstown NJ. See Directions. The Centenary Theatre, with limited seating, is a perfect venue for small jazz groups, providing the audience with a close up experience both in sound, visibility and intimacy.
Tickets
Jazz In July Tickets are $22.50 per person in advance and $27.50
at the door. The four concert series can also be purchased in advanced for $80.
