Summer Sizzles at the Little Theatre as the Centenary Stage Company and Performing Arts Guild hosts the 3rd annual Jazz in July concert series. The series will be offered on four Saturdays in July starting on July 7th, and all concerts will begin at 8pm.
On Saturday July 7th at 8pm FIVE PLAY, a fabulous All-Women's Jazz Quintet will take the stage. Lead by Swinging Drummer Sherrie Maricle, it also features Trumpet, Saxophone, Bass and Piano. On Saturday July 14th at 8pm we will have a PIANO EXTRAVAGANZA, an evening of great Jazz piano featuring 3 distinctive styles. Junior Mance, Jesse Green and Russ Kassoff will provide our patrons with an evening of keyboard magic. On Saturday July 21st at 8pm THE BRIAN PASTOR BIG BAND will be heating up the stage with their cool jazz style. This 17 Piece Jazz Ensemble is comprised of some of Philadelphia's finest musicians. To complete this Jazz in July Series, Saturday July 29th at 8pm will include a Salute to Jimmy McGriff featuring Reuben Wilson, Jerry Weldon, Paul Bollenback and Don Williams. Jimmy McGriff, a legendary Jazz and Blues Organist, will be honored by Centenary College for his achievement in the World of Jazz.

The Centenary Performing Arts Guild will feature, “Jazz in July”, a four concert series beginning Saturday, July 7th at 8pm in the air conditioned Centenary Theatre on the campus of Centenary College in Hackettstown NJ. See Directions. The Centenary Theatre, with limited seating, is a perfect venue for small jazz groups, providing the audience with a close up experience both in sound, visibility and intimacy.
Tickets
Jazz In July Tickets are $22.50 per person in advance and $27.50
at the door. The four concert series can also be purchased in advanced for $80.
