Prospective students in Theatre Arts have three opportunities that
are presented by Centenary Stage Company, your professional not-for-profit
Equity theatre in residence at Centenary College.
Centenary
College Theatre Degree
The Centenary College Theatre Degree is one of the
first where students can earn credits toward membership in the professional
union of actors, The Actors Equity Association, while pursuing an
academic degree. Of particular interest is the students opportunity
to develop these skills in conjunction with the Centenary Stage

Masters
Series for Actors
We will again offer a series of masters classes this
Fall 2001 in conjunction with the Centenary Stage Company (CSC)
and Centenary College in Hackettstown, NJ. Students wishing to earn
college credit for this class may register for the class through
Centenary College, otherwise contact 908 979-0900 to register or
you can use our online
Feedback Form and request that you be sent updates on the Masters

Acting
Classes
The professional Centenary Stage Company (CSC) offers
a series of acting classes, open to the public, that we
started offering in Fall 2000. Classes are held in the evening in
the Centenary Theatre, 400 Jefferson Street, Hackettstown. The classes
include the Actors Lab for Adults, Actor's Lab for Young Thespians
(ages 13 - 18), the Masters Series for Actors (described above)
and the new Tyro Program (ages 6 - 8). Check for new announcements

to Comedy"
Comedy Workshop
Start Date: Feb. 19, 2007
If you’ve ever wondered how the folks in ABC’s popular
comedy show “Whose Line is it Anyway” got so funny,
the Centenary Stage Company may have the class for you. Beginning
Feb. 19, 2007, the Centenary Stage Company will again offer an 8-week
Comedy Workshop for the public (back by popular demand).
Young
Performers Workshop (ages
8 - 18)
Young Performers Workshop is dedicated to the enrichment
of young lives through experience in the theatre arts, and serves
as a venue for cultivating young theatre performers between the
ages of eight and 18. The program is one of only a handful in the
nation that offers both formal training and production experience

Theatre Program (ages 6 -
8) and
Tyro
II Theatre Program (ages 9
- 11)
The Tyro Theatre Program and the new Tyro II Theatre Program meet
Monday through Friday, in structured theatre activities focused
on expression, confidence building, imagination and fun, little
performers will learn acting games and perform improvisations inspired
