Over 100 years ago the murder of a kitchen worker rocketed the town of Hackettstown to national prominence. Many say her ghost haunts the campus of Centenary University to this day. Join us for THE TILLIE WALK, a narrated historical walk which follows the path of Tillie's last night alive, followed by a reading of the play TILLIE SMITH by PEW Fellow Jeanne Murray Walker on 11/1, commissioned by CSC in 2002.
These presentations are offered as part of the 150th anniversary celebrations of Centenary University in Hackettstown.
The Tillie Walk will begin in the Grace Memorial Parlors in the Seay Building on the campus of Centenary University at 400 Jefferson Street and will conclude with refreshments at the Taylor Memorial Library.
$5.00 reservation fee (reservations recommended).
