2022 Tillie Walk
An interactive tour of Tillie Smith’s final steps

The “Tillie Walk,” produced by Centenary Stage Company, traced the steps of Tillie Smith on her last night alive, before her notorious murder in 1886. Following a path which painted a picture of Hackettstown in the late 1800s, the walk is led by costumed actors with historical narration featuring the old “Shields Hall, ” the site of the old “American Hotel”, The Trinity Methodist church, Victorian architecture, and Centenary University, among many sites.

Refreshments / light snacks will be available before and after each tour. In case of rain, tours will be postponed to Oct. 23 using the same tour times.
