CSC NEXTstage Repertory Summer Season Internship Program
Centenary Stage Company, the professional not-for-profit performing arts organization in residency on the campus of Centenary University is now accepting applications for the 2026 NEXTstage Repertory Summer Season Internship Program.
Eligible applicants must be a graduating senior enrolled in a FREDDY Awards participating high school.
The 2026 NEXTstage Repetory Summer Season Internship is offered in three core areas of focus: Technical Theatre, Arts Administration/Performance, and Production/Stage Management.
In each area of focus, interns will partner with industry professionals, including CSC resident staff and professional guest artists, in a hands-on practical learning environment. Interns will gain real world first-hand experience in a professional setting, refining and learning new skills. Whether seeking to further their arts education in a higher learning institution or taking the plunge into a professional career, the internship is designed to provide candidates with a strong foundational understanding of the rigors of working within the professional industry.
Technical and Production/Stage Management focused students will have the opportunity to work with resident and guest designers, within CSC production shops, as well as various production & crew assignments for the 2026 Summer Series of events.
Arts Administration/Performance focused students will have the opportunity to work within the CSC administrative offices, learning the day-to-day operations of a professional theatre while gaining hands on experience in various initiatives such as marketing, development, outreach, patron services, and more. Additionally, performance focused students will have the opportunity to audition for the 2026 Summer Season, and if cast will perform. Although the internship makes every effort to provide performance opportunities to those interested, casting is based on auditions and is not guaranteed.
Centenary Stage Company's NEXTstage Repertory 2026 Summer Season includes The Wedding Singer running July 9 - 19 and Maltby & Shire's Closer Than Ever running July 30 - August 9.
